Your day begins early:
Around 4:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel. (The exact time may vary depending on hotel location and program details.)
You will then travel for roughly two hours in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, crossing deep into the heart of the Egyptian desert before reaching the legendary Monastery of St. Anthony.
More than 1,600 years ago, St. Anthony lived as a hermit in a cave on a mountain 680 meters high.
A staircase of approximately 1,000 steps leads up to this sacred cave.
At the top, you can admire the ancient writings and drawings attributed to St. Anthony and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view over the rugged mountains, desert valleys, and the distant sea.
After visiting St. Anthony’s monastery, the journey continues through wild desert landscapes to the Monastery of St. Paul, built above the cave where St. Paul the Hermit lived and passed away in the 4th century AD.
Once the visits are complete, we will drive to a local restaurant to enjoy lunch before returning to Hurghada.
You will reach your hotel at approximately 5:00 p.m.
